DUAL CARBURETOR INTAKE MANIFOLD DYNO TESTS |
This series of
dyno tests were run within a three hour window using one of our super |
touring
engines. |
All test runs
were conducted with the same engine & dual Stromberg 81 series
carburetors, |
with the only
change being the intake manifold itself. |
The three
intake manifolds were the Burns, The Equalizer from Charlie Yapp and the |
Tattersfield. |
All three
intake manifolds performed well. |
The best
overall for an engine used for touring, 1300 to 2400 RPM was the Equalizer. |
The best for
high performance such as hill climbs with higher RPM usage was the Burns. |
The
Tattersfield made the most horsepower in the 1300 RPM range & was close throughout |
the rest of the
test. |
